What the water taught me about your competition.

I've been kitesurfing since 2012. At some point I hit a ceiling. The jumps got higher, the tricks got cleaner, and progress still slowed.

So I picked up a wing and a foil while wingfoiling was still brand new. Beginner again. Falling, frustrated, humbled by riders half my age. What the pros did back then felt just a few steps ahead.

Fast forward to today. 14-year-olds on the world tour throw triple rotations like it's nothing. The bar moved faster than I imagined.

  1. Machine learning, before the hype.

    I studied neural networks, machine learning, and big data at leading universities: Stanford, UC San Diego, and HPI Potsdam. That's why I know how this technology works under the hood.

  2. Founder straight out of university.

    Instead of applying for jobs, I co-founded a mobile app startup and ran the tech as CTO. More ventures in the mobile space followed, and I've never been an employee.

  3. Android expert for big brands.

    As a freelance senior developer and team lead, I built teams and shipped apps for Nespresso, Mercedes-Benz, SAP, and DKB, plus the United Nations' ShareTheMeal and the Corona-Warn-App.

  4. Ten years of finding exceptional people.

    I staffed senior engineering teams across DACH and ran hundreds of tech interviews doing it. What's left: a network of vetted engineers and a sharp radar for the ones who ship.

  5. Agents ate the busywork.

    I built my own company, a DACH IT-freelancer network at multi-million ARR, to run almost entirely on agents, from lead research to invoicing. My team steered, the agents did the legwork.
